A deed to a house is a piece of paper. A college diploma is a piece of paper. So is a drivers license so are a ton of other things. Age old difference between a serious relationship and marriage will always be commitment.

In a serious relationship you are having serious sex. In marriage you are getting screwed.

Let the marriage be honorable and the marriage bed undefiled, says the holy bible. Hebrews 13;4
any other intimate relationship is not honorable.

marriage is SUPPOSE to be a committment for life… till death do us part, though with some people they make it a piece of paper (as in used toilet paper) and can ruin the lives of their mate themselves and worst of all the innocent children. a serious relationship allows you to bail without dividing assets … it can require child support too so … dont get that serious and bring children into the mix.
